The 42:7 PROJECT is a movement to fight the harsh reality of the human trafficking of children through advocacy for education and awareness to the general public.

The 42:7 PROJECT also represents a coalition of those who fight on the front lines of human trafficking as we serve together in the areas of: prevention, intervention, restoration and  equipping both here and abroad.  

THE FACTS

• The average age of children trafficked is 11-14. According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

• Over 300,000 children are trafficked for sex in the U.S. according to the U.S. Department of Justice, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

• Every hour 42 children are trafficked 7 days a week according to the 427PROJECT.org

• Trafficking calls in the U.S. increased by 35% last year according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline.

• 83% of victims were U.S. citizens according to an investigation from 2008 to 2010 reported by the Congressional Research Service. 

• 800,000 people are trafficked across international lines each year. Of the 800,000 50% are children, 80% are women or girls, 20% are men or boys. According to the U.S. Department of State.

• Trafficking is an estimated 32 billion dollar industry worldwide according  to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
